At the center of the enchanting rolling fields, resided a young shepherd. His existence was mostly pure, simple, and honest. His only responsibility was mainly to care for his herd of rams.

The boy giggled at the puzzle on their faces. This prank continued for a few days more. However, one day, a real wolf actually attack the herd. The shepherd boy ran for help, screaming “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one came.
Frustrated and alone, the boy struggled against the wolf but could rescue only few of his flock. Heartbroken, he returned to the town only to receive a reprimand on honesty and the repercussions of crying wolf.
His tale of this shepherd boy has been transmitted generations as a mediaeval parable to teaching the value of honesty, the implications of dishonesty and the risks of crying wolf. Moreover, it emphasizes how trust once lost, is difficult to regain. It's a story as pertinent today as it was in the past.
